Ever get the feeling everyone around you is ignorant of hard truth. I know I do, even those who consider themselves “average” in terms of broader thinking will sometimes have moments of utter disbelief. The unlucky phase as mentioned in A Balance of Life is a mindset of rising and falling based on how we feel with our lives.
We are all different, falling under different social, economic, political, etc. demographics but we are still human and that is what some of us fail to understand. There is an interesting side effect of removing the “unlucky” part of our lives, it’s called arrogance. And I mean arrogance in every sense of the word.
There are so many facets of life, some predetermined and others not. For those that are predetermined we will generally be stuck in a constant state of luck or the opposite, for those that we make it is much more of a rollercoaster.
However, let’s look at predetermined events. I was born into a situation where I have a shiny glowing keyboard to type on and an internet connection, which means I’m well off. Whether I want it or not this means I will pretty much forever be either ignorant or too arrogant to fully comprehend anything less than that. But I take solace in the fact that I’m not alone. You are also in this. Yes, you, the reader. For one, you can read. You also have an internet connection and a computer or other device to view it from.
Yes, I never said this site was feel good, I said it was theoretical truth. The theory is that without experience, we are not wise enough to even hold sympathy, which ties way back to The Driver and that series.
But I guess there is always that which we do control.
Until next time, this is Theo signing off…
